Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Invoition (“Service”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms in full. If you disagree with any part, do not use the Service.
“You” refers to the individual or entity using the Service. “Content” means any data, text, or files you upload or generate through the Service.
1. Account Terms
- You must be a human to register. Automated bot registrations are prohibited.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to protect your account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
- You may not use the Service for any illegal, abusive, fraudulent, or discriminatory purpose.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service in bulk without written permission
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited commercial communications
3. Service Limits
Usage limits (such as invoice volume per month) depend on your subscription plan. Current limits are displayed in the application. We may change limits with 30 days' notice. Accounts that significantly exceed average usage may be temporarily throttled or contacted for a plan upgrade.
4. Payment, Refunds, and Plan Changes
- Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Payment is required to maintain access to paid features.
- All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes. Where required by law, we will collect and remit taxes on your behalf.
- We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a billing period, except where required by applicable law.
- We will provide at least 30 days' notice via email before increasing prices for existing subscribers.
5. Cancellation and Termination
- You may cancel your account at any time from Settings → Account or by emailing support@invoition.app.
- Upon cancellation, your access to paid features ceases at the end of your current billing period. Your data is retained for 30 days, during which you may export it, and then permanently deleted.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users or to the Service.
- Abusive behaviour directed at Invoition staff will result in immediate termination.
6. Modifications to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of material changes. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
7. Uptime and Service Availability
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee any specific level of uptime or availability, though we take reliability seriously.
- Accounts may be temporarily restricted if their usage significantly exceeds normal levels in a way that impacts other users.
8. Data, Privacy, and Security
- We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
- We use encryption, backups, and industry-standard security practices to protect your data. However, no security measure is perfect. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
- Our staff may access your data only to: provide support (with your consent), fix errors in automated processes, ensure security, or comply with a legal obligation.
- Invoition is not affiliated with or endorsed by Notion Labs, Inc. We rely on the Notion public API; changes to that API may affect our functionality.
9. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership
- You retain full ownership of all Content you upload or create through the Service — invoices, client data, templates, and any other materials.
- By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service on your behalf.
- The Invoition name, logo, product design, and software are our intellectual property. Reproduction or use without written permission is prohibited.
- All Content must comply with applicable copyright and data protection law. You must not upload Content that infringes third-party rights.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Invoition shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.
11. Warranty Disclaimer
The Service is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements, be uninterrupted, or be free of errors or bugs.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
